Ventilation of buildings is an often overlooked environmental necessity. It has been said that indoor atmosphere is four times as detrimental to human health than outdoor. This is particularly related to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are most commonly found in paints and carpets. Therefore effective ventilation is important for both human and environmental health.
